Earlier this morning, mixed news reports spilled onto the Alliance airwaves. Adoy Baba, traitor to the Alliance, had made an aggressive move against the Corporate Alliance and its subfaction, Hoersch-Kessel Drive. Fighters under the direct command of the ex-Alliance member surrounded the Nautolan Society Flagship, the L-500 Nautolan Spear, and engaged it in combat. The Spear took heavy damage, mostly to the hull and sensor relays, but managed to stay in orbit of Valakivir. Support immediately came from Opulence as Admiral Aqua sent emergency forces to the capital ship. A battle ensued and many brave fighter pilots were lost in battle. In the midst of the battle, a rogue fighter chased after an ejected escape pod as it plummeted to the Valakivarian surface. The pilot’s identity was confirmed later as Director Baba.
While exact details of the detainment are sketchy at best, some rumors indicate the owner of the Corporate Alliance, Siejo Kutol, was directly involved. Some reports state that his ship was shot down by rogue forces. More details will be released when the truth is revealed. Regardless of the mechanism of the assault, the end result was a positive one for the Corporate Alliance. Adoy Baba, once Commerce Director for the Corporate Alliance, was apprehended and is currently being transported to the Vertengo Prison in Southern Nauto Prime. He will be detained there until his future can be decided by a jury of his peers. He has been charged with Treason, Aggregated Assault, Theft, Trespassing, and Deceiving Authorities. A trial date has yet to be set. When asked for comment, Mr. Baba responded with ” Unarrest me you c#$@!”
