Who Are We?

Formed by various planetary and sectorial governments, as well as some mega-corporations, the Confederacy of Independent Systems is a mid-sized Government based in the Mid and Outer Rims of the Galaxy.  Commonly referred to as the CIS, the government is tasked with keeping systems under its jurisdiction safe and productive, as well as bringing culture and enlightenment to these less fortunate area of the Galaxy.  The CIS is currently the governing power of 16 systems in the Ciutric, Koradin, Morshdine, Nijune, Sprizen, Thesme, Vensensor, Wazta, and Wornal Sectors.

While the CIS originally fought the Galactic Republic for independence throughout the Outer Rim, the government currently favors neutrality when it comes to the Galactic Civil War.  The CIS does enjoy having diplomatic relations and discussions with many groups throughout the galaxy.  Please feel free to survey our site for information on both the CIS faction, employment opportunities and information on our Allies.  If one has questions regarding the Confederacy or has interest regarding possible membership, please contact the current Head of State or Faction Leader.

How Did We Get Here?

Long ago, the Confederacy of Independent Systems was a great collective that included dozens of systems, hundreds of planets and multiple organizations that stretched across the galaxy. Formed as an Alliance to fight the tyranny of the central Galactic Government, the Confederacy found itself frequently on the defense. After being soundly defeated in the Clone Wars, many of the original Confederate corporations found continued survival difficult, and were slowly lost to time.

Not all of the former CIS companies suffered the same fate. The Trade Federation was able to take advantage of the vacuum of power in the Mid Rim, using their remaining technology and influence to form a very successful government. Some of the other corporations were able to survive and thrive through the support of the Trade Federation. The Corporate Alliance, Order of Kampar, Stars`End Mining Company and Haor Chall Engineering, and several other of the remaining Clone Wars Era companies joined together to form a small neutral alliance dedicated to mutual support and independence.

In Year 12, a new Government was formed out of the remaining Confederate states. Firmly entrenched in the Hevvrol Sector, the Second Confederate Government flourished initially with a supporting cast including the Andromeda Corporation, Dukha Industrial, Hoersch-Kessel Driveyards, and the Loronar Corporation. Unfortunately, most of the Confederacy of Independent Systems’ leaders were swayed by quick talking beings with their own hidden agenda. Some who chose to follow the central Government as it continued to grow in and around the Hevvrol Sector, while others felt that the government was betraying the original “purpose” of the alliance. Dissent spread through the Confederate Senate and those who refused to “listen” soon found themselves on the outside and left to join other groups in hopes that someday they could re-emerge.

After the disappearance and presumed death of the Head of State in Year 14, the Second Confederate State slowly deteriorated and was disbanded. As a mercenary faction, the group still retained ownership of the Hevvrol Sector. After years of stagnation, what remained of the Confederacy of Independent Systems was attacked at its core during what became later known as the Red Fury Revolution. After a successful coup by the Red Fury Brotherhood in Year 19, the Second Confederate Government was disbanded, with several prominent corporations taking the lead in the Hevvrol Sector. During the route, several loyalist were able to survive long enough to send word to the Outer Rim colonies through secret channels that were long ago setup for such an eventuality. The Hevvrol Federation was formed from the ashes of the Second Confederate Government.

Word reached the Confederate Remnant groups located in Thesme Sector of the coup in Hevvrol. Motivated to make the Confederacy great once again, several former members of leadership re-emerged from their hideaways to retake the banner of the Confederacy. Through successful diplomacy, the Remnant (also known as the Schism Collective) was able to create a new Alliance, focusing on learning from the mistakes of the past. In time, the Alliance evolved and eventually lead to a partnership with Kutol-Chan Industrial and the other the remnants of the Second Confederate State. In Year 20, the two groups merged together forming the Third Confederate Government.

Today, after the successful union of the Schism Collective, the Galactica Group and the Corporate Alliance, the groups work together as one for the citizens that depend on them. Dedicated to free trade, technology sharing and neutrality, the CIS is a safe haven for individuals and smaller groups who may have fallen on hard times and are looking for support.
