A few days ago, rumors spread of a horrible accident taking place in the City of Leningrad on Dolomar. A large explosion rocked one of the cities Large flats, leaving a gapping hole. Initial reports were that it looked like an escape pod had flown off course and smashed into the building. Local news reports arguing that, stating that it was more likely a small meteorite, not an escape pod. Futher research into the events of that day confirms that it was an escape pod, jetisened from the Alliance ship Ksiaze Dist. The Dist, under the command of Deputy Director of the Intrior Vladimir Mercury, was on a routine material hull when it was attacked by some anti government forces located on Kirogost. The forces docked with the Dist after disabling the engines and began to raided the Gallo for materials and supplies. While the crew fought valiantly, they are not trained in the art of war and defeat was inevitable. A distress beacon was launched, and Mercury ordered the Gallo evacuated. He jumped into an escape pod and jettisoned it out towards Dolomar. While ejecting, the Raiders fired at the pod and damaged the pods repulsor lifts. When heading to the planet, it didnt slow down; crashing into a building. There was no evidence left of the pod, or anyone inside, but it is now confirmed that Vladimir Mercury Died in the Crash. The City of Leningrad, managed by Mercury, was tumbled into chaos, but order has been restored. The City has a rocky past, having been hit by a large meteor in the past. This is the second major crisis involving this city and Mr. Mercury, who almost passed due to a weather incident a year ago while rebuilding the city from the last meteor strike. no word has been released about Mercury’s possible replacement in the Alliance Directorate.
