Date: Year 13 Day 102 Onboard the Lucrehulk 3210 Battleship [CIS] Revenue in system Cularin (-120, 160).
This news story is brought to you by the Confederate Nightly News. The story, originally reported by a Dominion News Network reporter, was broadcasted from the Arkanian Dominion flagship, the Hammerhead Cruiser [ADS] Immaculate, and relayed to the Lucrehulk Battleship [CIS] Revenue for broadcasting across the Confederacy.
The screen, initially black, is replaced with the Confederate flag flying over the capitol building. The camera shifts view to show a large crowd that has gathered. It begins to focus its view on a podium on a balcony overlooking the crowd. Siejo Kutol, the Head of State of the Confederacy, toggles his microphone and begins to speak.
“Ten days ago, the Confederacy of Independent Systems gained a new member in its family: Horizon Tactical Armaments. I would like Confederates everywhere to welcome the vehicle company with open arms.”
The crowd is enveloped in a thunderous roar of approving cheers. Siejo calms the crowd and begins to speak again.
“This company is like no other. Through a relationship that we believe will last for generations, the Confederacy and Horizon will complement each other well. Horizon specializes in vehicle production and has established a strong and mutually beneficial relationship with the Confederacy. I have with me the CEO of Horizon, Vito Royan.”
The crowd applauds as Vito approaches the podium. Vito and Siejo shake hands and nod as they exchange turns at the podium.
Vito begins to speak,
“Horizon has been my family since I founded it as the small firm of Royan Holdings just three years ago. Through valiant efforts from this family and efforts from House Sabosen among others, we have transformed this family from a small firm to a fledgling company capable of much more than I could have ever dreamed of. It is with great pleasure that I lead this company into a mutually beneficial relationship with the Confederacy.”
The crowd approves again as Vito exchanges the podium to Siejo.
Siejo observes his crowd for a moment, taking in the enormous number of people who have attended this event.
He then begins to speak,
“It is known far and wide throughout the Confederacy that we have needed a reliable ally in the vehicle manufacturing business for quite some time since Hoar Chall Engineering left back in Year 11. Last year, Horizon and its CEO came to me and we have built a strong bond ever since. I sponsored Horizon when it applied for admission into the Confederacy and I am absolutely thrilled to have them as our newest allies.”
Louder than times before, the crowd applauds.
Siejo continues,
“The Confederacy has always been a beacon of hope for those groups looking to be part of something bigger. I have been and will always be proud of what we have built here and I look forward to the additional services we can how provide to the Confederate members and the galaxy as a whole. With Horizon by our side, factories will begin to construct AT-PTs amongst other mechanized vehicles and we will build our armies to defend the Confederacy against all threats. The Confederacy will continue to rise with the addition of Horizon, and we plan to help Horizon in return rise further to fame and fortune!”
As the crowd applauds, Vito moves to Siejo and shake hands. They stand together at the podium for the crowd to have photo opportunities.
