Hevvrol Federation Leadership Orders Complete Cession of Ciutric to Krath Empire.
Year 20 Day 44
Reactions stemming from shock to full on anger Spread across Federation space today after the announcement from the Leadership Council that the Federation would be pulling out of the Ciutric Sector. Voicing security concerns, Chairman Siejo Kutol pushed for the the evacuation. Obtained through a trade from the Black Sun, Ciutric has been seen for years thought of more a strategic chess piece and less an area that the Federation could develop into a productive HUB for the Allied Factions.
Several angry sentients spoke out on social media. “While Hevvrol itself can be pretty congested” One sentient told reporters, “Binquaros has always been a place one could escape to and not have to worry about being interfered with. Security details have always been a minimum and the taxes have been low for some time. I would take my Wife and Kids to Ashenden at least twice a year. It is sad that this will not longer be an option for us.” They did not respond when asked about their opinion of the Krath Empire, who was rumored to be looking to assume control of the system.
It was not immediately announced where forces would be asked to take all of those wishing to leave Ciutric. The planet is one of the larger in the Federation network and there is concerns about the ability to evacuate effectively. Reports indicate that there are over 400 ships based in this sector and thousands of tons of raw materials that would need to be moved. Federation Leadership claim forces will be working very hard over the next few weeks to try and clear Ciutric Space. A late breaking report straight from the office of Siejo Kutol indicate he had a meeting late yesterday with representatives of Krath. There were reports two months ago of an attempt by Red Fury Brotherhood to infiltrate the nearby Vasuuli Sector. Chairman Kutol had worked to stabilize the situation but, in the process grew interested in the small mid rim planet. Some closest to the Nautolan state he has talked about trading for the system. An Official Announcement has not yet been put forth about this matter.
What this evacuation means for the Interstellar League Alliance is unclear. Created just this past year, the IL is based mostly in the Outer Rim. Information about the forming Alliance reached the desk of then Second-in-Command Chan as he was working out of the Citric Sector. Made up of many former members of the Confederacy Alliance, it seemed like an obvious choice in terms of Allies for the Federation. Kutol Chan Industrial, Order for Independent Trade and Anzatan Resurgence all joined the Alliance last year. When asked for comment, Chairman Kutol released the following statement, “We understand the concern of many of our citizens about the future stability of our Outer Rim operations with this move. I want to personally assure them that just because we are pulling back some of our forces, our support with our allies is as strong as ever.” Additional questions were encouraged to be passed on the Echuu Shen-Jon, leader of the Red Fury Brotherhood.
