Siejo Kutol asked to Resign Leadership amid Embezzlement Claims

Kran Chan Assigned Leadership of Embattled Faction

Year 20 Day 81

An unexpected announcement from the Galactic News Service today made front page news throughout Hevvrol Federation Space.  Siejo Kutol, the long time leader and co-founder of Kutol-Chan Industrial was replaced by Kran Chan. Per stock reports and recent dividend releases, it appeared that the company had been doing very well, so the news came as a shock to many.  Rumors quickly spread about Kutol potentially being killed while hunting on Glo Tho, but the Board of Directors of the Hevvrol Federation was quick to dismiss these rumors.

Breaking news in regards to KCI and its business practices have been becoming rather common recently.  Rumors have been swirling amongst the fringe media outlets about financial concerns from inside the faction for weeks.  Ore’Duke Kran Chan had to publicly dismiss these claims just last week, declaring that the KCI was healthy and had been as profitable as ever. However, a few anonymous insiders leaked internal financial documents confirming a sudden drop in valuation of the KCI stocks.  This seemed to contradict what Ore’Duke Chan had reported.

When pressed for comment, a representative of the Board released the following statement, “A meeting was held between the major stockholders of Kutol-Chan Industrial.  It was felt that the company may be better served with a change in leadership. The Board also wanted to thank Mr. Kutol for his service.” When asked if the move had anything to do with misallocation of funds, the representative declined to comment.

After being escorted from the headquarters on Mondress, former Chairman Siejo Kutol was more than happy to comment.  When asked about the rumors of embezzlement, the proud Nautolan adamantly denied any wrongdoing. “I was not embezzling! I was simply moving assets to my personal accounts to keep things more organized!”  he responded aggressively, waving his arms in the air. “With the recent power shortages in Mondress and Cularin, it has been necessary to try to filter through the company’s portfolio to identify areas where we can allocate more power.  Do you know how hard it is to filter through and identify power needs on over 25,000 properties?”

After being sworn into office, Kran Chan spoke with the local media.  “It is an honor and a privilege to serve as the Chairman of Kutol-Chan.  I am glad that the stockholders have decided to give me another crack at it. This isn’t the first time in my career that I’ve had to step in and lead a stagnating company to prosperity, and I’m sure it won’t be the last. I hope to bring the same results driven culture that I brought to Hoersch-Kessel Drive several years ago.

“My first action as Chairman is to bring on Siejo as my personal adviser. I understand that things have been difficult in the past few weeks, but his experience and knowledge of the corporation will be vital for us to continue to prosper.  As a close friends for many years, I am confident that he is innocent of any accusations. However, we have opened investigations into any unscrupulous financial behaviors, and I will take swift action should any wrongdoing be discovered.”

When asked about the possibility of rebranding, Chan laughed, denying the reports that the faction would be renamed Kran Chan Industries. “Look, I’m focused on the processes and the details necessary to make this company a well oiled machine. Rebranding is not on the table, even if it would stroke my ego.” He paused with a grin. “Okay, thanks everyone. Good night.”

Some speculate that this announcement is nothing more than a publicity stunt, one that would allow Kutol to seek employment elsewhere inside the Hevvrol Federation.  When asked about these details, Mr. Kutol declined to comment.
