Outer Rim Sectors Join the Booming Confederate Movement

Ciutric, I-Sector and Xappyh Sectors Declare Allegiance to CIS, Some Wonder if it is Temporary

Year 19 Day 215

-Serpine, I-Sector-

A crowd of reporters gathers around Siejo Kutol as he directs builders outside of a Confederate Bulk Freighter.  In the background, construction crews work on Illisurevimurasi City, the new seat of government of the I-Sector. The Confederacy had recently advanced into the sector, raising eyebrows through the Intersteller League and the galaxy as a whole.

Since the announcement last week, many news organizations had struggled to meet with either Head of State Taldar Logas or Chairman Siejo Kutol.  Unnamed sources leaked that Kutol had been moving with a flotilla of ships from the 5th Confederate fleet that had been dispatched to the region.  Several scouts had picked up ships in the Serpine System that were registered to Chairman Kutol. Several small freighters quickly moved to the system, eagerly hoping to catch either Chairman Kutol or Head of State Logas for a statement on the rapid expansion of the reborn Confederacy of Independent Systems.

Confederate Controlled Space Outlined in Green

Kutol, wearing a teal cut-off top and black trousers, motioned to the reporters as they approached his ship.  The build site had already been cleared and materials were being unloaded. The questions started before the reporters even reached the male Nautolan.  Kutol tried to settle them down. “Greetings Galactic News outlets!” he said with a smile. Kutol pulled a canister from his hip, taking a swig, wiping off the excess with his arm and then returned it to his pouch.  “Seems a fish cannot even do a simple job without upsetting the media! I assume you are here about the recent flash news, eh?”

Noticing a camera held by a blue Selkath in the crowd, Siejo walked forward, mumbling to himself something about his casual attire.  Once he met the crowd, he spoke. “Honestly, I do apologize for any delay in a release. We have been busy. First I would like to thank Taldar Logas for all his assistance and the strength of the Confederacy under him before this point.  His continued support will doubtlessly see endless progress and growth as we welcome more systems, more contracts, and more individuals into the Confederacy.”

After a brief pause and looking out over the small crowd, Kutol continued, a more serious look on his face, “However, this interview will have to serve as an official announcement to recognize the new expansion of the Confederacy into the Xappyh and Illisurevimurasi Sectors.  We also were able to make contact with many of our former citizens on the ground in Binquaros, bringing the Ciutric Sector back under the umbrella of the Confederacy. As many of you are aware, our great Confederacy commanded the hyperspace lanes in the Outer Rim decades ago. This was lost after our forces were forced to retreat to Hevvrol. We did not sit idle and we have been spreading influence among the locals for some time now. After a fair amount of discussion with the natives and those with controlling rights of the sectors,  we have begun assimilating local governments and amassing infrastructure on the planets in the Outer Rim. As part of these negotiations, we plan on assisting with infrastructure and defense. We have also discussed granting some of these sentients nominal membership in the Triumvirate that leads our government. This would only increase our influence in the region.  We have begun large scale production of goods and tapping deep into our stockpiles of construction assets as we seek to develop these planets and revitalize the existing local populations and economy. Medical supplies are being delivered from our allies to ensure the people are given top quality access to care and we have begun large scale stockpiling of local food stocks to ensure that we can feed both the locals and the numerous colonists we are bringing in.  These investments will not only boost the local economies and strengthen the Confederacy, but it also ensures that our factories and mines back home are booming as well.”

Kutol  pulled out his datapad and brought up a hologram projection of the galactic map, and highlighted the sectors in question.  “The Confederacy currently controls the areas in green.” He was interrupted by a reporter asking about the color choice. Siejo responded with a smile, “Yes.. I am aware the Confederacy color scheme does not include Green.  All the good colors were taken! Besides, what is wrong with green?” The group shared a laugh. Siejo continued, “We have begun to map out hyperspace trade routes and prepare defenses to ensure these routes are properly defended from pirates and raiders and strengthen the local productivity with specialization.”

“On that note,” He says, the map changing from trade route proposals to the logo of the Confederacy, rotating.  “We would welcome anyone with ambition and grit into our ranks. As we continue to expand, talent both large and small will be required to properly secure borders and expand our influence.  This project behind you was only possible due to the new blood brought into the group recently. We would welcome any who would come to send us inquiries into joining, and what we can offer you to fully utilize your skills and ambitions.”

Siejo raises his arms in the air, one metallic and the other organic, and gestured to the small crowd.  “I do appreciate all of you for taking the trip. Please contact Chief Magistrate Kran Chan from the Corporate Alliance in regards to reimbursement as well as a gift bag.  We are producing a clothing line commemorating the completion of Illisurevimurasi City and I would be honored for all of you to have a “I went to Illisurevimurasi City and left with this shirt” to take with you.  In all seriousness, A bright future will continue to be our pursuit, and the individual people will forever be our goal. Politics and nepotism have no place in our rule, and all shall be given their equal chance as they deserve.  We shall welcome more systems into our fold as time goes on, and continue our growth into the future.”
