We interrupt your typical news broadcast for a special report on the InterStellar League. While there have been rumors for the past month or so, after the Interstellar League Senate Chambers on Genarius were recently locked down during a quarterly meeting, official word has just been officially released from the Hevvrol System about the recent turmoil inside the neutral Alliance and its future.

Several months ago, bystanders watched as squads of B-1 Battle Droids and Droidekas stormed the Senate Chambers, accompanied by Taldar Logas riding atop his Reek, Glaedr. A local reporter on site was able to observe and record the statement given by Head of State Logas:

“Esteemed Senators of the InterStellar League, as host, founder, and caretaker of the Senate, the Confederacy of Independent Systems is temporarily suspending operations of the Senate, by order of Head of State Taldar Logas. This suspension will be temporary until an internal investigation is completed. Upon completion, the doors will be reopened and operations will resume.”

Droidekas stood at the entrance of the Senate, as battle droids were seen rushing through the inner chambers and securing the large structure. During the event, several Senators were seen fleeing the chambers and have not yet returned even after a meeting was called for all current Senators to gather and discuss the state of affairs.

At a secured press conference soon after, Head of State Logas made a public statement from the secure Senate Building, with several Board Members standing behind him in support:

“The CIS recently discovered evidence that agents of mayhem had infiltrated the Interstellar League Senate. There was an attempt to corrupt and derail the mission of the Alliance. We moved quickly to lockdown the Senate, and since then have properly flushed the corruption from our chambers. We have since restored order and peace and reassured the people of the League that they will all have a proper voice to represent their respective groups. We will not tolerate corruption within our alliance. The InterStellar League is, and shall remain, a neutral haven for like minded individuals to pursue peace, prosperity and partnership. We remain dedicated to those ideals and to our members. The InterStellar League will continue, united and stronger than before.”

Rumors have been swirling ever since, that the Confederacy had just pulled off a coup of a beacon of neutral democracy. Head of State Logas has stated that this was a necessary and temporary measure, especially as criminal and corrupt activities had become apparent in the Senate. Many naysayers accused Taldar Logas of authoritarianism. Chairman Kutol, speaking from the command deck of the Lucrehulk Revenue, recently addressed this, and other concerns at when asked by this reporter:

“It became clear to the Confederate Leadership that our partnerships with Dukha and Byblos weren’t what they used to be, and they pulled out of the Alliance. This amicable separation allowed both of our groups to pursue more prosperous paths. Many of our old allies formed the ‘Greasy Sprocket’, which is more of a loose affiliation with blueprint and intel sharing. We joined into this group, as we continued to hammer out the details on what the InterStellar League would become. Finally, when Loronar Corporation pulled out, we knew it was time to make some changes.

In the last 6 months, the CIS and her Nationalized factions have been establishing and building new relationships with some new allies. We took the steps needed to reform the InterStellar League, focusing more on close ties and hard work. We have formed a much closer affiliation to those who work in and around Confederate space. Henceforth, the InterStellar League is officially operating at full capacity, once again.

News of a restored and reformed InterStellar League have been circulating in Confederate space for some time, but this conformation is meant to show our government’s commitment to our principles, our people, and those we call friends. We are a council of equals here, all working together for a joint vision. The alliance is not open to all, and we will only be accepting applications from groups that have established relationships with current members. Please contact my office personally if you have any questions. If you are looking more for a social interaction and blueprint sharing, I encourage you to look into the Greasy Sprocket.”

With that report, information on the current makeup of the InterStellar League was also included. The new InterStellar League now acts in line with the laws of the Confederacy, and members have a seat on the CIS board. Besides the nationals factions of the Confederacy, the IL also includes some newly associated factions:

  • Acolytes of Kampar (Associate)
  • AeroTech (Nationalized Faction)
  • Arakyd Industries (Associate)
  • Corporate Alliance (Nationalized Faction)
  • Essential Mineral Extractions (Associate)
  • Haor Chall Engineering (Associate)
  • Moebius Ventures (Associate)
