Year 23 Day 43
Winterfest, what was once thought to be nothing more than a pipe dream will likely go down as one of the most memorable events of the year after thousands visit the Unknown Region to celebrate together. Focusing on games and cooperation, Winterfest was the largest gathering of its kind since Galaxy Fest.
While many came out in search of rare prizes, others came out to test their combat prowess, however weapons were not permitted on the Comet. Visitors therefore, took to the Thunderdome II, a decommissioned Venator-class Star Destroyer buried under a landing pad, to knock each other silly with just their bare hands.
During the festivities on the comet, rumors began to surface of a dispute between the local Gungans and Kaminoans, both of whom lived on the comet, displaced from their native homeworlds. A Pengauani beggar was abducted from under a large tree in the middle of Winter City. This Pengauani was known to many, having previously attended the Galaxy Fest.
Accusations arose between the local Kaminoans of a Gungan kidnapping the Pengauani and stealing cloning equipment from the Kaminoans. After a few days of uncertainty, reports began to surface of previously locked rooms onboard the Thunderdome II becoming accessible, but the horrific truth of what the festival goers would find in that room wouldn’t truly set in until later in the day.
Psychosis and panic quickly spread through the city as hundreds of naked sentients stormed the Venator as it became clear that this Pengauani had been turned into a cybernetic monstrosity, attacking anyone who came near it. Much of the attacks were ineffective and hundreds of unconscious bodies riddled the hallways of the once proud warship.
While skilled doctors risked their own lives and worked to keep the psychotic attendees alive, the cyborg, dubbed L4anc3r t0rP011, continued on his warpath. When all hope was lost and it became apparent that L4anc3r was untouchable, a group of unknown sentients arrived and engaged the Pengauani with what can only be described as super powers.
Throwing annular shields and tridents, the three heroes engaged the cyborg knocking him from the command tower of the ship and into the main hallway. Psychotic unarmed brawlers, recently unstunned by the local medical staff, joined the fray as well.
Even with their strength, endurance, new found numbers and ramshackled technology from the Kaminoans, it became a battle that seemed that neither side could hold the advantage. L4anc3r was forced to flee, but the hero’s followed through every room as the creature rampaged towards the ship’s hanger. The Pengauani cyborg however could not be subdued, escaping in a conveniently placed Tsmeu Wheel Bike, L4anc3r managed to escape.
These heroes however aided in evacuating from the Thunderdome II as many of the festival goers who by now had regained consciousness and their composure from the ‘Folly of Two’ shared delusion that had escalated the conflict.
Who are these heroes? It is unclear. Some have suggested they are members of a hidden group composed of sentients with unique abilities. Tasked with keeping the galaxy safe, case reports from the Outer Rim have suggested an increase in sightings.
Either way, it is unlikely that we have seen the last of L4anc3r t0rP011. If he shows up and continues his reign of terror, maybe our unlikely heroes will reappear to defend the weak, defeat villainy and make this galaxy safe again.
