Year 23 Day 115
After months of intense activity, the CIS seems to have settled into a comfortable groove in the new system. Raw materials are now being transported in a timely manner and new shipyards are all at 100% production capacity.
With the build projects in Tar Morden and Goratak coming to a close, Confederate teams have begun the process of spreading out throughout the new colonies in the South. One of the primary target systems targeted for development was the Bomis Koori System.
The last time there were considerate Confederate Forces in the system was during the clone wars. The Bomis Koori system, namely Bomis Koori IV, was a large gathering point of Corporate Alliance defensive forces in the region during the Clone Wars. As a primary Koorivar colony world, it hosted Corporate Alliance factories and was responsible for the largest production of battle droids in the Mid Rim.
Direct assault on the fortified planet led to the death of Oro Dassyne, killed by orbital bombardment. Dassyne was a Confederate General during the Clone Wars and had fought bravely for months against the oppressive Republic. With Dassyne out of the way, the planet quickly fell. A massive evacuation by the Corporate Alliance was the only thing that allowed the trade conglomerate to survive. The region fell into disrepair, with many of the Koorivarian settlers moving to the north.
With the transition to control by the Confederacy, things look to change. A flotilla of ships, led by the Lucrehulk Revenue, entered the Bomis Koori system on the designated tour that is scheduled to end in the Coveway System.
Greeted by representatives from the Sarrish Separatist Force (SSF), the crew of the Revenue were invited to a local celebration to honor the late Oro Dassyne in the city of Raldios. After the commemoration of Dassyne, several ships, including the Colossal Smacher, Dreadnought Deepstake, and several Pelta class frigates continued the tour south to Hassaria. Revenue and several support frigates were to remain in the system to assist in the transition. Logistics and Security teams have already begun sweeping some of the planets to prepare for a likely large-scale build project, as seen several times recently in the Vensensor Sector.
The arrival of the CIS flotilla was not celebrated by all. Rumors of the aggressive expansion plans of the system have been heard at several local community town halls. Several seem to be concerned about what this means for the local farmers and tradesmiths. Immense numbers of immigrants continue to steadily stream to the south from the Hevvrol Federation space. The initial settlements of Tar Morden have already heavily settled and the most recent census shows the Goratak settlements reaching maximum occupancy as well. This opens up the Wornal Sector and Bomis Koovi as the next potential location for resettlement. While this would bring jobs and wealth to the region, some have raised concerns about how the mass influx of settlers would impact the local systems.
