Year 24, Day 46, Vorsia Companion
Temporary chaos ensues in the Neshig sector as the citizens of Vorsia Companion were stirred into a veritable frenzy upon the belated realisation that a beloved building tied to a popular local Vorsian business was being demolished to make place for new real estate on orders from the federal government in Morobe. In the public unrest that ensued a number of charismatic but foolish figureheads called for the spontaneous secession of the lunar companion from One Nation under Jou, which completely caught local law enforcement and military forces off-guard. To the shock and surprise of all, the storm on government buildings that followed saw bewildered officials successfully carried out from their offices on the hands of thousands of protesters and literally kicked out on the streets. The main instigators of the protests in question then proceeded to declare Vorsia Companion sovereign territory of the people, with the promise to rebuild the beloved headquarters “with every nail and bulkhead exactly where they were before”. Yet, the impulsive revolution quickly ground to a halt after its leaders were arrested at a party celebrating their newfound but ultimately short-lived independence, their heavily inebriated states making it easy for local law enforcement to detain the would-be revolutionaries. All other troublemakers involved in the ordeal have also been promptly captured and put into detention, as the local courts decide what to do with this impulsive but rather silly action.
The citizens of Vorsia Companion have always considered themselves culturally separate from the rest of One Nation Under Jou, and often displayed overt disregard for the affairs and goings-on of what they perceive as distant Morobe. The local nobility considers itself loyal to the Crown first, and to the federal government of the One Nation second. Speculators have regularly warned that the inhabitants of Vorsia Companion may one day develop stronger and more profound secessionists sentiments, albeit none would have ever presumed that the demolition of a building – as beloved as it may have been to locals – would have been the catalyst for what ultimately became a very brief and unsuccessful strive for independence.
Vorsian authorities have revealed the identities of the main instigators behind the unrest on the lunar companion of Vorsia to be the adolescent sons of local nobility who were out celebrating the marriage of one of their comrades, which was to take place the following day. It is more than likely that these marital celebrations will have to be postponed indefinitely. Eyewitness accounts reveal that the group of nobles became particularly agitated after ingesting copious amounts of spice, and reportedly were actively looking to stir up trouble “just for fun”. Their idea of amusement resulted in heightened security and state of emergency in the streets of Vorsia Companion, thousands of arrests across the moon, and angry government officials lamenting the damages to their lashaa silk robes and suits.

Year 24 Day 46: It appears today as though brute force is not quite enough to keep the citizens of Vorsia Companion down, as they have stepped up and taken power from the old leader, long hailed as a puppet of One Nation Under Jou, and forced all One Nation Under Jou-aligned politicians to resign their positions, ceding power to local control.
