Siejo Kutol Earns his White Coat

Year 12 Day 16

A surprising name showed up on the commencement list of the Year 26 Graduation Class for the University of Hassaria recently: Siejo Kutol was officially recognized as a Medical Doctor after completing his training.

Many did not know that Dr. Kutol was pursuing his medical degree, but according to the new doctor himself, it had been a long-term goal. Dr. Kutol’s journey into the medical field has been long and arduous. After dealing with complications from the Derra Virus, Dr. Kutol was inspired by the miracles performed by Dr. Nolan Rockport of Chiewab Amalgamated Pharmaceuticals over a decade ago. This experience ignited curiosity in the young Nautolan, and, following in his new-found mentor Dr. Rockport’s footsteps, he enrolled at the University of Dolomar. After four years, Dr. Kutol obtained his undergraduate degree in Health and Sentient Sciences. He initially matriculated at the Medical College of Almas, but due to the tragic loss of his daughter Calista, Dr. Kutol was forced to withdraw.

This withdrawal was something Dr. Kutol viewed as a personal failure. He mentioned in an interview at that time that he felt he had let his family down and considered himself a failure. After a tragic injury in Year 15, which resulted in a cybernetic left arm, Dr. Kutol became fascinated with the procedure and how much medicine had advanced even in the five years he was away. Galactically renowned surgeon Dr. Kil’astra, a personal friend of Kutol, installed his cybernetic implants. At Dr. Kil’astra’s insistence, Kutol began to look into part-time options to complete his education without interfering with his rather sizable day-to-day workload. With the expansion of virtual learning, Dr. Kutol was able to complete his studies through the Medical College of Tar Morden.

Dr. Kutol’s residency, much like his career at this point, was another complicated, prolonged course. Working primarily with galactically renowned surgeon Dr. Kil’astra and his partner Dr. Cranesco Tonvecem, Kutol was able to fulfill the requirements for rotations, with much of the experience being hands-on in combat zones in Sarrish, Tar Morden, and Hassaria.

Dr. Kutol plans to maintain his position as Magistrate of the South of the CIS but has voiced his desire to open a clinic in Hassaria. Specializing in Primary Care, Dr. Kutol will see patients for management of chronic comorbidities, health maintenance, and minimally invasive surgeries.
