Thunder Offensive, Thunderstruck

Year 26, Day 238

In a display of unstoppable firepower, the Separatist Fleet has crushed the Shadow Dominion’s attempt to regain a foothold in southern Serocco. The criminal organization, known for piracy, subterfuge, and cowardice, was met with force from the Separatist war machine and utterly broken.

When asked about the victory, Head of State Dex Sehrin had this to say “It wasn’t even close. They got destroyed—totally destroyed. The Shadow Dominion thought they could push us around? Bad idea. Big mistake. We sent them packing, and fast. It was beautiful. They had no strategy, no leadership—just chaos. We, on the other hand? We’ve got the best ships, the best droids, the best minds. Everybody’s saying it. And I said we’d win. I said it. Nobody believed me—but I was right, again.” Dex Sehrin went on to say “We’re bringing order. Real order. The kind that even the Republic couldn’t have dreamed of. This is what winning looks like. And there’s going to be a lot more of it. Believe me.”

Despite the numerically creative numbers published by Son-Tuul Pride, analysts for the Ministry of Defence noted that over 109 wrecks of Dominion ships were registered at the hyper-entry point the pirates came in from. They also noted that as soon as Shadow Dominion forces realized they could not hold up against the onslaught, they began to collect their wrecks to mask their losses and stop independent observers from properly assessing the battle.

Whilst the Ministry of Defence has not commented on how developments are unfolding, they have made it clear that only a fraction of the Separatist Fleet has been deployed “To the likes of the Shadow Dominion, a few thousand ships feels like a lot. To the CIS, it barely registers, amounting to only a day’s worth of production to replace” noted on official wishing to remain anonymous.

In an act of desperation, it was noted that Mandalore was approached by Ximaro for a truce so that Dominion forces could add to their numbers to fight the Separatists, however shortly afterwards, Bork Shalas announced no negotiations would be made “This disunity and lack of co-ordination shows how weak these criminals have become. As we continue to mount pressure on them, they are trying to divide a force that is already operating independent of each other.” noted a top diplomat.

Independent travellers have been spotted travelling through Serocco, the Confederacy continues to advise caution when travelling alone and to not remain within the system longer than necessary.
