Troika Medical Distribution Hit by Massive Recall
Year 25 Day 89
Troika Medical Distribution (TMD) was one of the most trusted and reputable companies in the Confederacy of Independent Systems, providing essential medical supplies and drugs to millions of citizens across Confederate Space. But everything changed when a surprise raid by the Ministry of Health (MoH) forces exposed a potential dark secret behind their products.
The MoH claimed that they had evidence of Troika using illegal and dangerous substances in their pharmaceuticals, such as spice, death sticks, and even alchemy. As such, a recall was placed on all products from TMD, both pharmaceuticals and equipment, until further investigations could be completed. One estimate is that over 1.1 billion credits worth was seized. While details were limited, there seemed to be no clear reports of patient harm.
The raid resulted in no arrests but did see confiscation of the entire TMD inventory. The MoH issued a galaxy-wide recall of all Troika products, warning the public of the potential health risks and criminal charges they could face if they used them.
The Confederacy of Independent Systems (CIS) leadership, however, denied the MoH’s allegations and defended TMD as a loyal and legitimate business. Some leadership appear to place the blame for the raid on a clerical error made by the Magistrate of the South Siejo Kutol. They said that the Magistrate had mistakenly filed the wrong paperwork for Troika’s license renewal, which gave the MoH an excuse to attack them.
The Confederacy vowed to cooperate with the MOH’s investigation, but also demanded the return of their confiscated goods. They argued that the MoH had no right to interfere with their internal affairs, and that they were violating their sovereignty and autonomy. They also assured their citizens that Troika’s products were safe and effective, and that they could continue to use them without fear.
