Eclipse joins the CIS

Year 25 Day 142

The Confederacy of Independent Systems continues the current trend of growth, announcing a partnership with Eclipse Enterprises.

The relationship blossomed after a major success on a typical low-priority mission. The CIS had been expanding into the Mid Rim, partnering with contractors and affiliates to better serve those under their jurisdiction. Eclipse Enterprises (formerly Eclipse Defense Systems) entered the picture roughly sixty days ago, after a discussion with several members of the Confederate Triumvirate revealed similar goals and a mutual interest to work on a contractual basis.

On top of the initial discussion for system management in the Wornal Sector, those close to the situation appreciated that Eclipse Enterprises appeared heavily motivated to lend a hand and quickly volunteered for several projects under CIS territory, including a reconnaissance mission in the Mid Rim. Per insider reports, Eclipse contractors performed above and beyond expectations.

Per reports, a reconnaissance mission was aimed at identifying the asteroid fields in the Teljkon system with the  primary goal to survey the asteroid fields by identifying their buildable space and private companies operating in the system. Once the intel arrived in the Triumvirate hands, the opportunity to acquire multiple asteroid fields property rights made it possible to take control of the Teljkon system.

During the missions, Eclipse spacecrafts meticulously collected data on the size, shape and buildings of each individual asteroid within the targeted fields. This data was invaluable for assessing the potential risk posed by other asteroids landlords and for planning future missions to secure the system, such as asteroid layouts and private companies operating in the Teljkon system.

Additionally, the study of the asteroid fields provides insights into the possible evolution of the asteroids’ housing opportunities shedding light on the early stages of development.

“What started as a simple intel mission quickly proved their efficacy.  We were impressed.” Magistrate of the South Siejo Kutol was asked recently on his thoughts on EDS. Apparently, Kutol was not the only one impressed as Eclipse was quickly integrated into the CIS framework.

Eclipse Defense Systems was born almost two years ago, under the command of Zefa Xeed.  With the help of a board of directors, EDS managed an industrial hub in deep space in the Outer Rim, focusing on production of weapons and starcrafts. Known for demonstrating efficiency and professionalism,, EDS also offered contracts helping clients with transport vessels and reconnaissance.

President Xeed held a press conference yesterday, confirming that she requested a meeting with the Triumvirate looking for opportunities for a contract, starting with a development project in outer rim and later the opportunity to work in a reconnaissance mission. The official statement is listed below:

”Greetings to all sentients, after many meetings with the Confederacy of Independent Systems Triumvirate, we agreed to join the Separatist Alliance. We found the Separatists objectives similar to ours. The opportunity to grow with their community was well accepted by Eclipse members and now we see a bright future under the Separatist banner.

There have been several changes within the organization over the last few months. We expanded our already quite successful defense department, further developed our yields and development services, and added in a trading and transport department. These changes were fundamental for the decision for our new name and branding. Rest assured that these changes will not affect our current projects; on the contrary, this will allow us to improve and expand the services we can provide following our entrepreneurial vision.

I want to thank the Triumvirate as this was only possible because they were open to test what we were capable of and how we can benefit both groups in the future.”

Eclipse will primarily work out of the Harron Sector, in the Teljkon system.  The Harron Sector is located in the center of the explored map and has nine habitable asteroid fields, once owned by various industries. A review of galactic archives tells a story of shifting ownership and evolving economic landscapes in the last decade.

Initially exploited by pioneering space companies for their resource potential, these fields changed hands multiple times due to corporate mergers, acquisitions, and bankruptcies. Eventually, as space industries matured and diversified, the ownership of these asteroid fields became less profitable or strategically significant for individual companies, leading to their release onto the galactic market.

Now, these once-exclusive territories were up for grabs, attracting a diverse array of bidders ranging from ambitious startups to established conglomerates, marking a new chapter in the commercialization and exploitation of Teljkon Systems. While control has been shifting, all reports from the ground suggest that the system will be in CIS control by the weeks end.

After control is confirmed, focus is likely to continue to expand local housing and employment to the local population while there are rumors of an important key project regarding a future Central Galactic Market. There are also reports of future plans to expand production and defense in the region.

There are rumors of other companies looking to join the Separatist Alliance, but no reports have been confirmed. Stay tuned!
