Lady in Red, the Patron of Zrak

Zrak, Nijune Sector

The Northern Confederate territories have experienced substantial economic growth and infrastructure development ever since Truse’vala’ilone became the Governor of Zrak. Many have attributed the positive changes to the Red Party’s rise to power, and some even suggested the Party’s influence helped the Governor to be appointed into the Confederate Triumvirate on Day 54 of Year 24. Others would claim this success was thanks to the hard work of the Scrappers Guild, but perhaps it was the Jouish religion, which the Magistrate follows, that delivered a better world which is promised to those who follow Jou’s guidance.

As such, it could be easily assumed that religion would have been quickly and widely accepted by residents of Zrak, especially the native Heep-Heep population. However, our reporters have discovered from the locals that the Heep-Heeps were reluctant to visit the priest in Zrak’s hospital station and learn more about the religion. Shockingly, the reason for this was apparently nothing more than the priest’s choice of clothing.

One of the Red Party locals commented:

“We are a red planet now, okay? This guy comes here wearing purple! How can we trust anything he says?”

When our reporters went to visit the Radiant Jou Hospital, imagine their surprise when instead of a priest in purple robes they discovered a priestess in red! Miss Glacis’carle’tircr, or Scarlet for our non-Chiss readers, was very excited to tell us all about the Lady in Red, the new and Zrak friendly depiction of Jou.

“The locals feel very strongly about their colours, so the Church decided to present Jou in red to make her message more appealing. There is no deception here. Historic evidence shows that Amaranalah Jou used to wear all sorts of colours, and we simply show the locals the pictures where she wears red! It’s very clever you see. Jou can help make Zrak a better world, we only want to help them!”

When we asked Miss Scarlet why she wanted to preach in Zrak, so far from the Church’s home in the Morobe system, she said:

“Do you know how cold it is on Morabora? I love it here, Zrak has amazing beaches and I look great in a red bikini.”

Miss Scarlet also told us about the Hymn of Red Zrak, a prayer written by one of the local followers of the Lady in Red, which you can find at the end of this report.

Some of the Heep-Heep were receptive of the new priestess:

“The red priestess is much nicer, and the Lady in Red is part of the Party. That is something I can get behind!”

While others not so much:

“How dare she say Zrak can be a better world?! Zrak is already perfect!”

Mr Morto Anemis, the retired priest, had this to say about being replaced by Miss Scarlet:

Since he refused to speak with us further, we were unable to discover where Mr Morto moved to, but it is assumed he has returned to Morobe.

If you are in Zrak, make sure to visit Miss Scarlet to learn about the Lady in Red, Patron of Zrak. If you are not in Zrak, why not? It is such a great system, or so our team based in Zrak tells us.

Hymn of Red Zrak

Where is the flame, the passion of our hearts,

Where is the colour that keeps us alive?

Beyond the blue oceans, across the grassland fields,

Hidden by the woodlands, and swamps of viridian greens.

There you shall find what you seek; powerful and burning,

Volcanic flame and glory of Zrak’s Red Party.

On this path we are guided by the Grace of Jou,

She will lead us to a better world, and into the Red Dawn!
