Asteroid Base Joins the Seperatists

Making the Harron Sector Great… THIS TIME!

Year 25 Day 111

Another System publicly declared itself part of the Separatist Movement yesterday as the Teljkon Asteroid Field turned over management of the system to the Confederacy of Independent Systems (CIS).

News broke recently of turmoil in the Harron Sector after a raid by the Eyttyrmin Batiiv on the Galactic Conservation Society (GCS). The raid sent a fortune of assets to the Galactic Market and caused quite a stir amongst collectors and traders alike. During the very public raid of GCS, many news outlets did not notice the collapse of the Blauheheler Exchange, which brought many of their assets along with the rights to the Teljkon Asteroid Field up for bids.  Either way, with many eyes on the Galactic Market, the Independent asteroids became quite a prize.  While bidding was sealed, many prominent traders boasted of bidding hundreds of millions on the smallest of facilities.

The Teljkon System has become accustomed to the occasional change in governance. Recent records show the system first declaring loyalty to the Dael`mor back in Year 19, a Mandalorian clan loyal to the Mando`ade government, which held control over the system for several years until Dael’mor’s public holdings were consolidated under Blue Star Dominion. It was not until just last year the system ended up finally falling into the hands of the mining corporation Teljkon, a subsidiary of the  Blauheheler Exchange.  After the raid on GCS, Blauheheler Exchange also dissolved, leaving the system independent.

With system control in jeopardy, the Eclipse Defense Systems saw an opportunity.  Eclipse, a small group  that specialized in the production of defensive gear and starfighters had been contracting out work to the CIS.  Per anonymous sources, Eclipse reached out to the Confederacy asking for support in the region.  While the CIS, doesn’t have a significant foothold in the region, Siejo Kutol, Magistrate of the South, personally took on the project.

While the bidding is still ongoing, the CIS managed to convince some of the surrounding asteroids of the benefits of the Separatist Movement. Just yesterday, sovereignty of the system fell to the CIS.  Several outlets question the CIS ability to hold the system. There are reports of other outside corporations and governments, offering billions of credits to gain assets in the system, and the larger prize of control of the Harron Sector.

Either way, the CIS has a foothold, and a head start against any competitors. Eclipse Defense Systems has been given jurisdiction of the region and plans to use it as a hub for operations. The CIS has a wealth of experience in asteroid development, both in the Oseon and Cularin Systems, and this should aid EDS as they maximize the potential of Teljkon.

Unexpectedly, Zolton the “Slice of the Hutt” Grubb was chosen Magistrate of one of the Asteroids. This makes the Harron sector the second region that Governor Zoltan has found himself governing, spreading his influence far beyond the Chargi System. There has been no official announcement from the CIS Triumvirate regarding the Hutt, but once an announcement is made, you can be sure to find an update on the CIS Shadowfeed.
