HCC launches new streaming service

(CIS News – Day 300) This week the Hyper-Communications Cartel announced the launch of a new streaming service to all citizens of the Confederacy.

HyperCom – The new streaming platform, will provide on-demand entertainment and documentaries on a regular basis. A year in the works, this project was greenlit by the Confederacy, which provided infrastructure and personnel to oversee the project.

“There was a lot of overhauling needed on our current holonet infrastructure. We only ever used the Shadowfeed for news and gossip articles, this next step forward for holovids required a lot of upgrades to be made across many of our worlds.” noted Karist Nekina, one of the Nautolan engineers involved in the project.

Hyper-Communications officials, known for supplying the Shadowfeed to the CIS, commented that this new addition will help to enrich the lives of Separatists across the galaxy.

As part of the package provided by the Confederate government, emergency channels would be embedded within the network in case of emergencies.”We can now reach all Confederate worlds, even those still working on becoming developed. We can offer a curated entertainment package for our citizens to enjoy.” Said one HCC spokesperson.

Currently, the service has a few TV shows and movies available. It is in talks to acquire the rights to old Holonet content from now defunct media companies. Over the next few months, more content will be added. Citizens will be eligible for the free subscription service as part of an agreement with the government for public service access.
