Change at Cybot: Haskell Steps Down

Year 24 Day 365

TAR MORDEN IV – (CIS) Hecatoncheires

From the Lucrehulk-class Battleship (CIS) Hecatoncheires, Erik Haskell reported for his last day as head of Cybot Galactica and member of the Separatist Council, choosing to retire to the factory world of Asher I and home of Cybot Galactica. While Erik Haskell has turned down any requests from the various Shadowfeed media companies for interviews, he provided a brief address to the larger Confederate Shadowfeed network on its official public channels.

Mr. Haskell Reporting in For Last Day on Duty

Hello. My name is Erik Haskell and I am officially retiring from duty from the Confederacy of Independent Systems and as COO of Cybot Galactica. Before I go, I wanted to share a few words.

From the very beginnings of my startup days as a young, scrappy ‘Scrapper’, I always believed that leaders should be at the forefront of every endeavor, working as hard if not harder than anyone below them. People would follow those passionate about the community they sought to create and I wanted to bring prosperity and happiness to our community of friends. So, I ran to be at the front of any operation to make my friends’ days a little bit better.

When we merged with the Confederacy of Independent Systems, I strived to be the same, treating each and every member as a new friend with the same respect, trust, and admiration I had for my fellow Scrappers. I wanted everyone in our community to feel welcomed and a part of the greater Confederate spiritus, not just strangers banded under one cause but friends and compatriots who celebrated our common cause of fostering a true place of neutrality and peace. Our ideals became greater than the small community of friends banded together; for now, it was up to us to work together, forge new friendships, and strive to not only bring happiness to those close around us, but also security and prosperity to a diverse and multi-billion coalition of citizens.

To the Triumvirate, the Separatist Council, the Officers of the Confederacy of Independent Systems, and all other members of our great community, I sincerely am grateful for you choosing to be in our community, enjoying our general antics, and helping us on our journey to create a safe haven in the turmoil and chaos of the greater galaxy. I am especially thankful to Telo Danodel and Odessa Taeno, who will take up joint leadership over Cybot Galactica, bring the company to even greater heights with their great abilities, and allow me to retire at ease.

Sincerely, thank you all for everything.

Many have speculated on his reasons for leaving, such as the large organic population disapproval ratings incited by his extreme policies of replacing all sentient employees and soldiers with superior labor and military droids. Others point to an alleged crippling addiction to a popular dataslab economic simulator, although all theories have remained inconclusive and without evidence. Nevertheless, Erik’s leave is expected to have an impact on the Heep-Heep populations of the North as well as the various pro-droid organizations within the Confederacy.

Several legions of Battle Droids and Vultures, produced by Erik himself, have independently taken up action to hold large military processions, disrupting large parts of society with a myriad of confusion and gridlock. The processions have been pathing through various unrelated locations such as junkyards or factories, any ship or building named after Sevala, and Sevilla’s personal parking spot. The droids have provided no reasons for their actions.

In the second or third of ‘Erik Haskell is retiring giveaways’, a modified TIE-Crawler, Ginivexes, Fury-class Imperial Interceptors, a squad of Sentinel Droids, and a number of Ginivex Datacards are being given out to lucky Confederate citizens.
